October 7, 2006
Added Triablogue's extensive critical review of the skeptical counter-attack on the resurrection, The Empty Tomb.
July 22, 2006
We have changed the Christian History page at the CADRE site from the old design to the new one. The focus of the revamped page has expanded, with many new articles:
This page provides links to websites and articles relating to Christian history, including theological development, notable figures, contributions of Christianity to society and culture, and the archaeological evidence for the facts of the Bible.
We have also added four new articles by Darin Wood, PhD:
June 19, 2006

June 12, 2006

Added CADRE member Christopher Price's latest radio appearance to his Virtual Office. The subject was freedom of speech on high school campuses.
March 15, 2006
Added a new page to the CADRE Site. The Cadre's Response to the Da Vanici Code is dedicated to the literary and soon-to-be cinematic phenomenon, The Da Vinci Code . It includes links to the best online resources responding to the book from a Christian or historical perspective, as well as references to books that do the same.
Also redesigned the Dating the New Testament page, the Christianity in the Public Square page, and the Was Hitler a Product of Christianity? page.
March 8, 2006
Redesigned the Statement of Faith and Disclaimer page.
March 7, 2006
Added a new link to the Cadre's Apologetic Resources page: The Skeptical Christian, a very promising new apologetics site. Here is the description:
The notion that Christianity is based on a “leap of faith” rather than an intellectual commitment of mind and soul to God is widespread in today’s culture. Christians are unable to provide a rational defense of their faith, and nonbelievers are convinced that religion is something only for the gullible and weak-minded. At The Skeptical Christian, these problems are addressed head on. Christianity is NOT a worldview for the weak-minded and it is NOT based on a blind leap of faith.
February 17, 2006
Added four new articles to the Cadre's The Resurrection of Jesus page: He is Risen Indeed, by Ben Witherington; A Synopsis of N.T. Wright's The Resurrection of the Son of God, from Opensourcetheology.org; Notes on Jesus' Resurrection: Paul's Understanding of of Jesus' Resurrection, by N.T. July 30, 2005
Added Genre, Historicity, Date, and Authorship of Acts by Christopher Price to the Answers page and to Chris' Virtual Office.
"Though the author of Acts faced the daunting obstacles of any ancient historian – as there were very few accurate maps to help understand geography and few, if any, sources of information about local customs and practices, as well as an ever changing legal and political regime – he writes with a high level of accuracy regarding geography, local details, Jewish customs and beliefs, current events, political situations, and Roman legal proceedings. The author’s accuracy suggests excellent sources and/or personal participation."
Also added Earl Doherty, the Jesus Myth and Second Century Christian Writings by GakuseiDon to the Answers page.
"But by far the biggest flaw is that Doherty clearly hasn't examined all the literature of the period. There are examples of HJ writers producing materials that have all the hallmarks of Doherty’s MJ writers. There are hints in the literature for why the apologists of that period wrote their apologies in that style: an eagerness to show Christianity as philosophically similar to pagan ideas; a plea for justice for Christians against persecution; an expectation that referring to ancient Hebrew writings would carry weight with the Emperors of the day."
July 25, 2005
Added Answering Infidels to the newly revamped Apologetics Resources page.
Answering Infidels is a new Internet site with articles and links designed for two purposes: (1) to provide answers to articles published online by internet skeptics, and (2) to address specific issues related to Islam.
Also, did some cleanup work on the Historical Jesus page and the Members Page. Let us know what you think of the new look.
July 25, 2005
Added Hitler and Christianity by Edward Bartless-Jones to the Hitler page.
July 18, 2005

July 6, 2005
Made the following changes to the Audio page:
Amended the entry to The Connection Summer Series on Western Philosophy
Added a link to Part 3: Ethics and Morality -- In the third week of a summer series on philosophy, the questions are right and wrong, and living with the line you draw between them.
Corrected the link to Part 5: The God Problem -- Ever since the Greeks, philosophy has been struggling with God. St. Augustine of Hippo came to God's Truth by way of the pagan philosopher Plato. St. Thomas Aquinas laboured to show that there was no conflict between Aristotelian rationality and Christian Truth. The Enlightenment, and most famously Nietzsche declared God dead. But Philosophy keeps finding it necessary to re-invent him.
Added a link to Part 7: Science -- On this hour, the summer philosophy series continues with the philosophy of science. Does science supplant religion, literature and philosophy as the path to truth? Also added Apologetics Press -- A rotating set of audio lectures on various aspects of Christian apologetics and Christian evidences. These audio presentations will be from either a recording before a live audience, or from video and/or audio presentations delivered in a professional production studio.

Once again, I have failed to keep a constant update on what I have added to the website. I recommend everyone continue to peruse the pages and see what's new. I know for certain that I have added material to the Public Square Page and the Intelligent Design page, but I cannot remember exactly what was added. I can say for certain that I added earlier today Regent Bookstore Radio to the Audio Page.
I also updated the link to the Office of Michael J. Murray, Professor of Philosophy and Franklin and Marshall, and added a link to The Paideia Archive to the Philosophy Page.

I have not been doing as good of a job on keeping up on the updates as I probably ought. There have been a rather sizable number of new articles and websites I have linked since I last posted here. Here are some of the ones that I remember:
Added some articles relating to Stem Cell Research to the Christianity in the Public Square Page. I also added a couple of additional sites to the section on General sites relating to the public square.
Added The Apologia Project to the Apologetics Resources Page. Also added an article from that site on 101 Biblical Contradictions to the Answering Skeptics Page and its Real Audio Videos links to the Audio Page.
Added The New Atlantis: A Journal of Technology and Society and The Biotechnology and American Democracy Page at the Ethics and Public Policy Center to the Science Page.
Added the Eternal Word Television Network, and Catholic Answers to the Roman Catholic Page.
Added a number of new links relating to papyri (focusing on the papyri found in the caves at Qumuan) to the (Re)Dating the New Testament Page.
I'm sure there is more, but I forgot what I put where. Explore the site. More will be coming every week.

June 8, 2004
I have actually added quite a few things since I last updated this page, so I will probably miss a few things, but here is the main things I have done:
Added Christianity in the Public Square Page to be a place for discussing issues related to Christianity in the public square. Includes resources on abortion, homosexuality and church-state issues.
Added Covenant Media Foundation to the Apologetics Audio Page.
Added Prosthesis Blogspot to the Philosophy Page (where it appears to be equally suited to its prior placement on the Science page.
Have also added CADRE Comments, a blog with apologetics notes by the members of the Christian CADRE and any others who desire to add material. Please note that we are not trying to turn this into a discussion board. If you want to get into a larger discussion, send one of our members an e-mail through christiancadre@yahoo.com, and that person will almost certainly meet to discuss an issue on a discussion board that we frequent.
